Simpson Strong-Tie tested and load-rated tension straps and fasteners are designed to minimize cost and maximize speed and precision — while providing the strength, versatility and reliability you depend on. The MDCST48 is a 14-gauge high-capacity strap specifically designed to carry tension across a CLT floor or wall panel joint. The MDCST48 installs with Simpson Strong-Tie® Strong-Drive® SDS Heavy-Duty Connector Screws.

Simpson Strong‑Tie offers a wide variety of holdown devices designed and tested to address many applications and load demands. The DTT Tension Tie & Holdown is designed for lighter‑duty holdown applications on single or double studs.

MSTC78 Installation

The MSTC is designed to resist tension loads in timber-to-timber applications. This diaphragm tension strap tie utilizes a staggered nail pattern to help minimize timber splitting.

LDSS48 installed with QD WSV75SA Collated Screws

The LDSS light diaphragm spline strap is designed to be placed directly on top of CLT (cross-laminated timber) and other mass timber panels to connect them together. Unlike plywood splines, the LDSS does not require routing.
