FASTER AND EASIER INSTALLATION WITH THE NEW SIMPSON STRONG-TIE® LUS JOIST HANGER.
The Simpson Strong-Tie LUS joist hangers are value engineering at its finest. All joist hangers in the LUS series have the Double-Shear Nailing feature. This innovation distributes the load through two points on each joist nail for greater strength. It also allows the use of fewer nails, faster installation and the use of standard connector nails for the same connection. The double-shear nailing on the LUS uses 64mm nails into the joist and 38mm nails into the header.
In addition, to assist with installation speed every galvanised LUS Joist Hanger incorporates the Simpson Strong‑Tie Speed Prongs feature which is designed to temporarily position and secure the connector for easier and faster nailing. Saving you even more time on installation. Available in ZMAX Galvanised version which provides the equivalent corrosion resistance of hot dip galvanising by doubling the Zinc galvanised coating of standard Z275 connectors to 550g of Zinc per m2, total both sides. There is also the option of 316 Stainless Steel versions. The LUS Double-Shear Joist Hangers suit joist widths of 35 or 45 mm timber.
